TheFUSE has covered Oklahoman Zack Crow’s live performances and singles previously — including 2021s Think Like You, plus recent releases like Tired, and the standout Was It Love, a smokin’ electric country ballad that harkens to seventies southern rock.
In early April 2024 we got a double good treat when Zack released his newest single, Turn Out to Be, at 11 pm on the eve of a performance at Filthy McNasty’s Saloon in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Zack Crow impresses audiences and listeners with a no-nonsense attitude and understated presence — he lets his songwriting do the talking, supported by tasteful guitar leads, with an edgy tone and impressive vibrato.
In addition to Zack Crow’s talented band — Mackey Divine on bass and Cody Choate on drums — keyboardist Matthew MacKelvie sat-in on this particular gig. Matthew provided keys on Crow’s recent recordings and the gig in Fort Worth was close enough to his studio in Van, Texas, that he joined for the night and added a welcome dimension to the performance.

Zack told me via DM that there is more recorded music on the way — including a couple tracks featuring the aforementioned MacKelvie keyboard contributions — so make sure you follow Zack on Spotify, Apple Music, or the platform of your choice so you don’t miss them.
