We were surprised by an item that popped up in our social media feed yesterday — the announcement that Downtown Wichita Falls’ “first rooftop bar” is opening this fall. The Loft at Picker’s has a publicly listed address of 1000 Indiana Avenue, which would put it on top of the Picker’s Universe building. Wichita Falls rock band Blank Labels keeps it coming with new music releases. On the heels of Vague, July 24 is the scheduled release date for their followup single You4ia (Euphoria, get it?). We’ve heard from Bill Andersen at 6th Street Winery that he has some very interesting plans in the future. 6th Street has long been a supporter of our local musicians — a great place for a glass of wine and a show by local and touring artists, and if everything goes as planned, Bill is gonna have a lot more flexibility to host a variety of shows and events.
