Music for Lovers: Bryson Lawrence at 6th Street Winery
Lovers of music, wine, and each other
TheFUSE caught a solo acoustic performance by Bryson Lawrence on a cold February night at 6th Street Winery in downtown Wichita Falls and it was a showcase in music for lovers… of music, wine, and each other.
Bryson is a performer we love to cover again and again, whether it’s as the front man for Dirt, Blank Labels, or as a solo acoustic artist. If you’re a lover of music, Bryson will treat you to selections new and old, as he did in this performance with covers of Neil Young’s “Old Man,” Jimmie Rodgers’ country classic “She’s in the Jailhouse,” and “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” plus contemporary tracks like Third Eye Blind’s “Jumper,” an acoustic take on Foo Fighters’ “My Hero,” and some original tracks, too.
Lovers of wine can always find something to enjoy at 6th Street Winery, and the selection on this particular winter evening kept us warm on the inside while we enjoyed the fireplace and Bryson’s soothing songs.
Well-known fixtures of the local music scene the Stubers showed up to enjoy Bryson’s performance, and as they always do, they enjoyed several dances together while he sang, reminding us all what love really is. As Audrey Hepburn once said “The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”
