Love at the Farmer's Market
A morning stroll to remind us what it's all about
The Wichita Falls Farmer’s Market happened again this morning, as it does every Saturday, and I decided to take a stroll to see what there is to see. There’s always a lot to see at the Farmer’s Market of course, but I was just looking for… something. I didn’t know what.
And then, I spotted this couple. Darion Roberts was performing, and this elderly couple joined hands, right in the middle of the farmer’s market, among the aisles and shoppers, and just started dancing.
This sweet couple was initially oblivious to my presence, or anyone else’s for that matter… just enjoying a moment, together.
Bruce Lee is known for saying “Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.”

In the black & white photo, the man is informing the woman that “there’s someone behind us taking our photo.”
It’s reassuring to know that kind of love is out there, wouldn’t you agree? Have a great week, friends.
Update: I later learned these two are Gerald and Margaret Stuber, beloved fixtures in downtown Wichita Falls.

They're a treasured couple in this town. They love all live music and always show awesome support for the scene.
Love this. I hope this couple comes across their pictures.
