Texas country singer Braxton Keith played a lightly-attended show at the Iron Horse Pub in Wichita Falls in September of 2023, not surprising considering it was a Thursday night, but very surprising considering Keith’s following. Braxton has 114-thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his top two singles each have more than 2.5 million streams. Braxton might be the biggest artist hardly anyone saw in Wichita Falls in 2023.
Keith’s music is straight mainstream country that rocks a little at times. Take a listen to his latest single, Settle for a Beer.
As a lover of Chuck Berry and the boogie woogie rock of a bygone era, Braxton Keith impresses me most when he and his band get down and cut loose — guitars (steel and otherwise) are a big part of Keith’s sound, apparent on tracks like Honky Tonk City. But Braxton Keith goes deeper than that, and his music can surprise you with poetic storytelling as in Cold Hard Steel and Sand, a song about the dry and thirsty landscape of oil country.

Originally from Texas, Braxton now spends most of his time in Nashville, or on the road behind the wheel of his tour bus… literally. Keith owns and drives the bus, and once said in an interview, "That bus is actually the only vehicle I own. I drive it everywhere I go."
Take a listen to his most popular single, “A Little Bit Closer.”
If you’re a country music lover and new to the music of Braxton Keith, it’s time to get on the bus — over 114,000 fans can’t be wrong.
