From the Vault: Skeksis at the Iron Horse
Lost photos rediscovered in a recycle bin
Last summer, Skeksis performed at the Iron Horse on the same night as Austin’s Slumbering Sun and Gamma Goblin. Skeksis describes their group as a southern plains rock band that plays loud with a lot of fuzz.
Somehow, I misplaced the photos from that night, but rediscovered them yesterday, in a recycle bin, just as I was about to empty it.
I remember being impressed at this show because I had seen Dustin Bowen playing drums before, with Big Find, but I had never seen him playing bass and singing vocals, as he does in Skeksis.

I’m glad these photos didn’t go to the great recycle bin in the sky, and I’m gonna make a point to go back and see the guys in Gamma Goblin, Big Find and Skeksis again when I get the chance.
