Factory City Tattoo Coming to Downtown
Wichita Falls' newest ink shop to reside at 713 10th Street
As an inked person and mad appreciator of art, I was thrilled to run across news of a new tattoo shop coming to downtown Wichita Falls. The parlor is Factory City Tattoo — which can go right into the finals of the coolest new business name tournament, as far as I’m concerned — a great name and nod to the heritage of Wichita Falls.
Josh Williams is the proprietor of Factory City Tattoo and I’ve been following him on Instagram for awhile, but tonight I found myself with camera in-hand, not too far from 713 10th Street, so I decided to stalk him for real and see what’s what.
They’re not quite open yet, but Factory City Tattoo is getting really close. Look at the great signage and bright red paint!
I messaged Josh when I got home and he said the sign painter just finished today. He told me they’ve still got windows to do, but Factory City Tattoo will be open by mid-June and they’ll be having a big celebration with artists from all over the country.

It’s apparent even before they open that this is a place where individuality will be expressed. The German writer and philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote “When we lack ourselves, we lack everything.” It’s exciting to see a new small business that’s gonna help people express themselves, and with a name that fits the city so well.
I took a few more photos in the neighborhood on the way home and I was like, it is still the Factory City.
