Drummers Step Into The Beast Zone
Local drum legend Kenny Ochoa hosts drummer interview series
“The Beast” Kenny Ochoa is a drum icon in the Wichita Falls area and longtime drummer for local legends A.A. Bottom, as well as a number of others. “I have played with multiple bands in town… Rip, Fury, Outspire .Damien. X, and a recording group in Dallas named Hazeland,” Kenny told me via DM.
I saw A.A. Bottom perform at the Iron Horse in the summer of 2023 and they immediately became one of my favorites because they play all the great stuff from my generation — Thin Lizzy, Eddie Money, and ZZ Top, for example.
Now, Beast is branching out with his own drum interview series on his YouTube channel — The Beast Zone — and the episode with drummer Stephen Welch of the The Kept is up.
