Concert Alert: Giovannie & the Hired Guns
iHeart's Best New Rock Artist Comes to Wichita Falls
It’s been awhile since a nationally-known rock act electrified Wichita Falls, but that drought is about to end.
March 30th, 2024 marks the date for Giovannie & the Hired Guns, live in the parking lot of the old Times Record News building (1301 Lamar Street) in Wichita Falls.
Giovannie Yanez, originally from Mineral Wells, formed his band when he was working at a pawn shop in Stephenville, Texas, and has since found national acclaim and radio airplay. If you’re unfamiliar with the name of Giovannie & the Hired Guns biggest single to date, “Ramon Ayala,” you’ll likely recognize the tune when you hear it. Take a listen.
Other singles of note include Overrated, I Don’t Mind, and Can’t Answer Why, and it’s very clear why Giovannie & the Hired Guns won iHeart’s “Best New Rock and Alternative Artist” award in 2023.
Promoter On Tour Entertainment has recently announced country rock artist Jacob Stelly as the opening act, rounding out the lineup for what promises to be a bangin’ show. General admission tickets for the March 30th show are $25.00 and onsale now.
