How Many Subscribers Do We Have?
A Letter from the Editor
Recently I checked the paid subscription statistics for the Fallstown FUSE newsletter and found we have 29 paid subscriptions, a gain of 12 in the last 30 days. For a brand new newsletter with fewer than 100 total subscribers, 29 paid subscriptions is surprisingly good, and when I shared the news with friends, they were surprised, too.
Why are we finding success? I repeatedly hear from you — on the street, at the venues, in restaurants — theFUSE is hitting the mark. Our passion for Wichita Falls culture bubbles over, and you’ve been telling me it shows, in the photography and the words we use. Perhaps people have subscribed because it’s clear the proceeds from every subscription go right back into bringing you more of what the Falls has to offer, and every performance or event we cover brings support and awareness for the artists, sales of their creations, and fans to their shows.
A paid subscription to theFUSE can be as low as $4.16 per month if you opt for the yearly billing. Last time I checked, that’s exactly the same price as a single Caffe Latte Venti. One craft coffee a month.
Let me be very specific. If subscriptions to theFUSE continue to grow, I intend to compensate two local writer/photographers who’ve expressed interest in working with theFUSE to cover some local events and really get this thing rolling. They’re as passionate about music and art as I am, too. We have plans for more exclusive subscriber content, events, and some big ideas, too. If you want to be part of the effort, I humbly ask you for your subscription, because we can’t do it without you.
Leave a like. Make a comment. Subscribe. Spread the word to your friends and family. You’ll really be helping me get theFUSE off the ground as an independent publication in Wichita Falls, and make it into a powerful tool for supporting our creators, without gatekeepers. You can also make a donation in any amount to help offset our operating expenses. As the old expression goes “a rising tide lifts all boats.”
I appreciate so much the warm welcome theFUSE has received on the arts & entertainment scene in our first few months of existence. As we head into month number three, I just wanted to say thank you, and the best is yet to come. — Troy
