A Glimpse of Afterwalk at Backdoor Theatre
Jay Burnam's live event returns to 5th and Indiana
In Spring of 2024 we saw the inaugural “Afterwalk” event at Backdoor Theatre. It’s an indie entertainment show created by Wichita Falls’ singer/songwriter Jay Burnam. The show, which takes place every month right after Artwalk, has traveled around with each event, sometimes happening at 6th Street Winery.
For the August 1st event, the show returned to where it started, in the courtyard outside the dinner stage entrance of the Backdoor Theatre.
This particular event included Chasue and Wind Nuisance as entertainers, and Michael Kately, Hazel, and Jay Burnam are among a who’s who of Texoma performers who’ve played at Afterwalk.
This event is a bring-your-own-chair kind of deal, and your own beverage for that matter. And if you forgot your own, you can simply take a 60-second stroll up the alley to grab some wine at 6th Street Winery.
